FREE MATH LESSON - “5th Grade Math Morning Work - Two FREE Weeks”

by Teacher Addict
5th Grade

These two free weeks come from my 5th Grade Math Morning Work Set. Week 11 gives a glimpse on how the morning work sheets are set up for the first half of the year, and week 19 gives a glimpse on how the morning work sheets are set up for the second half of the year.

The whole product covers and practices ALL of the common core objectives for fourth grade math.

Monday through Friday are on one page, so you only have to print one page for each student per week.

In addition to having work Monday through Friday, there is also a challenge problem for students to work on if they get finished early on any of the previous days. Basically, it is a built in differentiation piece.

FREE SOCIAL STUDIES LESSON - “FREE Southwest Region Showdown | States and Capitals Game”

by Laura Candler
3rd - 6th Grade

Southwest Region Showdown is an exciting game for reviewing southwestern state names, locations, capitals, and/or abbreviations. This 24-page freebie is not just a sample of a full-length product, it's actually one of six similar products in my States & Capitals Games Bundle

Southwest Region Showdown is based on a popular and highly effective cooperative learning strategy that actively engages all students. The game can be played as a whole class, in centers, with partners, or within cooperative learning teams. Directions for three variations of the game are included, along with numbered maps, task cards, and answer keys. This product also includes an optional Southwestern States Study Guide you can have your students complete prior to playing the game. You’ll find color and black & white options for the game directions and numbered map.

Get Started Learning the 50 States and Capitals, Region by Region!
The Southwest is a great place to start teaching the 50 states and capitals because there are only four states in the region. The study guide will be easy to complete, and the three review games will move quickly which will give your students the confidence they'll need to tackle the other four regions. After your students finish all five study guides and play the games for each region, they’ll be ready for the ultimate states and capitals challenge, 50 States Showdown!

⭐ Save over 30% with the States & Capitals Games Bundle ⭐
If your students like the games in Southwest Region Showdown, they'll LOVE these other States and Capitals Showdown Games! All of the products listed below are available on TpT alone or as a part of my States and Capitals Games Bundle. FREE MATH LESSON - “Free Dry Erase Addition Mats”

by Lee Ann Hall
Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten

Free addition mats to use with dry erase markers and manipulatives. This is great practice for independent work, centers, or math tubs.

Numbers 0 - 19

Color and black and white options.

To prepare: Print out the mat you prefer and the set of cards. Laminate them and cut them out. Gather enough dry erase markers, erasers (or whatever you use for erasers), and counters for your group.

To use:
Students draw one card from the stack. They record the number on the line below the first circle. Then they place the appropriate number of counters in the first circle. Then the students draw again. They write the second number below the second circle. They place the correct number of counters inside the second circle. Next they count up all of the counters in both circles. Finally, they write the answer on the line to the right of the equal sign. Students erase their mats and repeat the steps above.

You can also print off two sets of cards to allow students to practice doubles as well.
