FREE MATH LESSON - “Subitize It! Build Number Sense with a "Magic" PowerPoint”

by Stacey Fisher
Kindergarten - 1st Grade

This engaging resource will help build number sense by quickly identifying the number of dots shown on the screen. It can be used as a warm-up activity, during “Number Talks,” during a math lesson, during calendar time, as a math center, or as a quick time-filler.

Can you beat the computer???? After starting the slideshow, a set of up to 10 dots will appear on the screen. After 3 seconds, the dots will disappear from the screen. The dots disappear to encourage students to use mental math strategies instead of simply counting all the dots. The dots will reappear so the students have an opportunity to check their work. Finally, the answer will appear on the screen.

There are 10 different PowerPoint slides that will automatically advance after you start the slideshow.

This product is a sample of my "Magic" PowerPoint activities. Check out the custom categories listed on the left side of my store in order to find similar products.
